The Challenge
DSM Engineering Materials develops a broad range of innovative, high-performance materials for the most demanding applications. To serve both (potential) customers and our commercial sales teams throughout the increasingly complex customer journeys, DSM Engineering Materials has embarked on a hybrid sales model where personal interactions and online decision-making support go hand in hand.
 
As the linking pin in between our (online) business development activities and commercial sales force (Territory Managers, Account Managers and Inside Sales teams), the B2B Marketing Communications Professional maximizes customer satisfaction and business development success.
 
The Position
Your key areas of accountability/responsibilities will be:
 
•    Develop customer-facing and sales-supporting application and segment pitches
•    Own and optimize DSM Engineering Materials’ internal sales enablement content platform
•    Advice account managers on customer-targeted, tailor-made digital marketing tactics and orchestrate activation accordingly
•    Increase sales effectiveness by sharing actionable (online) customer insights
•    Handle marketing & communications related questions for the Americas region
•    Work in close collaboration with our global and regional marketing representatives, territory managers, account managers, inside sales and commercial excellence.
•    This role reports into the Global Online Customer Activation Manager
•    Limited Travel
 
The Ideal
•    Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, with 5+ relevant years’ experience in a Business-to-Business or industrial setting
•    Likes to translate technical value propositions into engaging customer storylines
•    Passionate about exploring (online) data and turning numbers into meaningful commercial insights
•    Knowledge of modern (account-based) marketing strategies, methods, techniques and tools, and the ability to translate these into DSM-needs and purposes
•    Enjoys influencing and engaging with colleagues within the organization
•    Ability to think outside-in, customer-focused
•    A well-organized, service-minded team player with good interpersonal skills
•    Personal characteristics: customer-focused, goal-oriented, business acumen, curious mindset, digitally-savvy, can-do mentality, pro-active, innovative.
