Technical Support Specialist, Romer Labs

Union, MO (M-F 8am-4:30pm)

Step into a dynamic, handson laboratory role where your work directly contributes to advancing food safety and shaping product innovation. In this position, you will lead daily validation of LFD and ELISA test kits across mycotoxin and food allergen product lines, ensuring accuracy and reliability in critical diagnostic testing. You’ll collaborate closely with customers to address technical questions, provide impactful product training, and solve challenges through structured, sciencebased troubleshooting. This role offers the ideal blend of laboratory expertise and customer interaction giving you a clear line of sight into how your work drives meaningful, realworld results.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct sample analyses using LFD and ELISA test kits in accordance with established procedures, package instructions, and defined study timelines.
  • Interpret analytical results, ensure accurate and complete data entry, and perform thorough data reviews.
  • Uphold all quality control requirements while supporting routine laboratory operations, including solution preparation, sample cleanup, equipment maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Deliver virtual and onsite product training to customers, maintaining a professional and serviceoriented approach (travel <10%).
  • Provide technical support by addressing product inquiries and resolving productrelated issues through structured troubleshooting.
  • Support customer validation studies (MARs) by preparing clear protocols, articulating scientific rationale, and producing detailed reports with welldefined, actionable conclusions.

You bring

  • Completion of coursework in a sciencerelated discipline
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated prior laboratory experience
  • Ability to effectively engage in customerfacing interactions and training
  • Familiarity with applicable quality and regulatory standards
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $55,000-$65,000.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
