We are currently looking for a “2026 Summer Internship: Quality Control, Biomedical” at our Biomedical facility in Exton, PA.

 

The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026. 

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Quality Control activities, including basic inspections, testing, data entry, and documentation of nonconformances.
  • Support Document Control and Quality System processes by managing document changes, organizing records, and helping maintain ISO 13485 compliant files.
  • Contribute to Product Release and Regulatory tasks, such as batch record reviews, technical file updates, labelling checks, audit preparation, etc.
  • Participate in Engineering projects, including data collection for investigations (CAPA/NCR), supplier performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You Bring:

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site in Exton, PA beginning on June 1, 2026 and ending on August 14, 2026.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize and parse data
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

 

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.  Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.

 

At the end of this internship, you will:

  • Practical understanding of medical device quality systems, including how ISO 13485 requirements translate into daily operations, documentation, audits, and compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools and processes, such as inspections, nonconformance documentation, CAPA support, data analysis, and product release activities.
  • Improved technical and professional skills, including root-cause thinking, document management, cross-functional communication, and use of quality software or inspection equipment.
  • A clear understanding of career paths within Quality, with exposure to QC, QA, Supplier Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Engineering to inform future professional goals.
