We are currently looking for a Operations intern at our St Louis, MO office.
The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Your key responsibilities
- Production Support: Assist with daily production activities, monitor and document production metrics, and support troubleshooting under supervision.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to GMP, safety protocols, and company policies; participate in quality checks and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to efficiency and waste reduction projects; collect and analyze data for improvement opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production leads, maintenance, and quality teams; prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings.

You Bring
- Currently working on completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026.
- Excellent communication and strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends using Excel
- Work safely in an aromatic (food flavors) production environment.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
At the end of this internship, you will:
have observed large-scale production of food flavors using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) along with principles of Manufacturing, Quality and Safety. The position will emphasize product creation which includes production operations, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the liquid flavors and vanilla manufacturing areas.
