We are currently looking for a Engineering Intern at our Lakeland, FL office.

The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Your key responsibilities

Expect 50% of time engaging with staff members on the shop floor gathering information (process steps, relevant photos, safety requirements and other parameters) to develop new and modify existing procedures.

Expect 50% of time spent at a PC constructing procedures using Microsoft applications.

Any downtime from procedure development could be spent assisting with process or project engineering tasks.

You Bring

Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
Second year engineering student or higher is preferred.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from multi-functional teams.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and be willing to wear personal protective equipment based on process and food safety requirements.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
