The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.

 

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Your key responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating and preparing beverage prototypes across categories (juices, teas, soft drinks and energy drinks) for internal evaluations and project needs
  • Support stability and shelf-life testing by preparing samples, conducting sensory/physical analysis, and organizing data for team review
  • Aid in prototype development and demo preparation, including labeling, bottling, shipping samples, and helping coordinate tastings
  • Present technical findings to internal and cross functional teams

You Bring

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, or related field
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026
  • Foundational knowledge of food science, basic laboratory practices, and comfort working with formulas, measurements, and bench-top equipment
  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative—ask thoughtful questions, seek to understand the “why,” and show strong organizational and problem-solving skills to effectively manage priorities and workflows
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional partners and clearly share updates or findings
  • Creative, ambitious, and agile, with a willingness to adapt as project needs evolve

 

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.  Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
