The Country HR Head is responsible to create a consistent “One dsm-firmenich” employee experience at every moment that matters, bringing to live BU Strategies, Group HR plans and processes, dsm-firmenich Values and Behaviors and integrated solutions to the local levels, to build business growth and engaged teams.
In this role you drive the company's HR agenda in a proactive and customer focused manner. Supporting, guiding and advicing local Leadership and employees on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee relations, policies and processes, recruitment and the delivery of key (HR) Projects.
Your key responsibilities:
- Partner for “One dsm-firmenich" initiative and deploy planned initiatives across the sites/locations in the country
- Ensures we provide all HR solutions & processes in an efficient, aligned & lean way, while maintaining proximity and supporting the business
- Defines and drives locally (business agnostic) led/required initiatives & programs
- Leads and coach the HR teams within the country and build a resource deployment mechanism that drives people engagement & development
- Build a locally anchored and globally connected team of generalists with broad capabilities and selected expert knowledge
- Ensure a strong employee/manager experience and enable human-centric interaction throughout the country
- Accountable for labor relations/unions in the country coordinating with all sites/locations
- Ensure legal and social compliance with local employment laws and code of conduct
- Controls the staff administration activity, manages the contractual aspects (schedules, permits, leave, maternity, retirement).
- Support the establishment of the annual HR budget with the management and reports to the company management, communicating relevant information based on his needs
- Work closely with the European Regional Rewards Lead to ensure country aligned compensation and benefits packages
- Support appointed Country Leaders (CL) and participate in their CL Team representing the HR function to provide a Human “lens/perspective”
- Reports to the VP Regional HR Europe and is a member of the European Reginal HRLT

You bring:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (HR, Business Adm., Law, Social Sciences) and professional trainings in HR fields
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Snr. HR site or country leadership roles, strong business acumen with ability to build and lead diverse teams
- Strategic and analytical mindset with outstanding stakeholder management and communication & influencing skills on all hierarchical levels
- Organizational and cultural awareness/ sensitivity
- High-level understanding of country employer practices and labor laws
- Capable to deal and collaborate with Leadership Teams and to negotiate with Unions
- Accountability to decision-making, ensuring alignment with our values and own the outcome
- A dedication to inclusivity, promoting a unified team dynamic where everyone can thrive.
- Fluency in English language
