Site Manager South Bend, IN 


What you’ll do:

Come lead all local operational aspects of the site manufacturing and processes including product manufacturing and processing at the South Bend site (25 employees). You’ll manage, direct and execute our environmental, health and safety programs, food safety programs, manufacturing programs and facilities.  As the site leader, you will develop your team and manage their performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define & implement site manufacturing plan
  • Identify & analyze potential operational & Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) risks, and implement countermeasures to meet established objectives
  • Develop, implement & manage a cost effective & efficient site organization, standard working processes & systems, to enable optimal business performance.
  • Manage, coach & motivate site employees
  • Build and lead a Continuous Improvement culture
  • Lead and manage tolling activities for DSM Food & Beverage NA



You bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of operations supervision and management experience required
  • Experience managing others directly required
  • Experience driving cultural change and transformation required
  • Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, such as food and/or pharma, necessary
  • Experience as a site manager/plant manager a plus
  • Background in continuous improvement techniques (Lean, 6 Sigma)
  • Bachelor’s degree in process engineering or a technical discipline required
