The QA/QC Analyst samples, analyzes and / or tests under GMP rules raw materials, intermediates and finished products applying validated methods. They perform statistical analysis of raw data, analysis of results for compliance to product specifications with communicating & recording results on batch records &/or product release sheets. Instrumental in supporting local and global DSM production, shipping/receiving and quality control to ensure Quality System requirements (ISO, GMP, HACCP, etc.) are maintained.

QA/QC Analyst - 2nd Shift

*training on 1st shift for an extended period - MF 8:00 am-5:00 pm

*once transitioned to 2nd shift hours are MF 1:00 pm-9:30 pm
Location: South Bend, IN



You will be responsible to:

  • Perform enzyme assay, chemical, physical and other laboratory procedures as required by Product Release Reports, working closely with proficient personnel
  • Record results on PRR and report results & observations
  • Enter standard and control test results and other relevant data into SAP computer system and spreadsheets for monthly reporting
  • Coordinate sampling of final packaged product with production personnel’s schedule
  • Prepare retain samples in accordance with standard practice or agreement with principal and retest when necessary or when requested
  • Sample incoming raw materials according to GMP and SHE policies
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and current laboratory notebooks
  • Prepare small laboratory blends as necessary
  • Clean and organize laboratory, including maintenance of laboratory inventory for ordering/ stock supply
  • Coordinate with SLD Lab Delft, inventory maintenance of Substrates, Standards and Controls for DSM global methods.

What we look for in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major studies in chemistry or other degree in the sciences
  • Prior relevant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of quality systems & GMP programs
  • Good analytical skills and attention to details are important
  • Knowledge of FSSC 22000, SF360 modules, HACCP, and product/ production processes
