Position Description

The Digital Marketing & Sales team is part of the IT organization and provides digital solutions to all DSM’s business groups. We help shape the digital marketing & sales strategy and customer journey, as well as design and development of the technical requirements. As a Lead Solutions Engineer you will be part of our IT Digital Marketing team, with focus on the various customer touchpoints. You will work closely with Digital Marketeers across all business groups, help them shape their digital marketing strategy and customer journey, and translate their functional requirements into technical solutions. As part of the IT Digital Marketing DevOps team you will take ownership for delivery of new digital marketing assets or manage the implementation of changes to existing ones.

 

This position is based in Sittard, The Netherlands.

 

Key-responsibilities

  • Help the business groups shape their digital marketing strategy
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs and technical solutions:
    • Challenge and shape business requirements
    • Align requirements across different business groups and stimulate leverage and reuse of existing digital marketing assets
    • Document business value and acceptance criteria before handing over user stories for development
    • Build a bridge between business stakeholders, digital marketing agencies contracted by the business and the IT organization
    • Ensure our customers get what they need versus what they ask for
  • Provide insights to stimulate continuous improvements of our Digital Marketing platform(s)
  • Plan, prioritize and follow-up on the marketing projects across our businesses
  • Collaborate with other Marketing & Sales teams, Lead Management (CRM), online ordering (e-Commerce) and Product Information Management (PIM) systems
  • Manage and develop the Digital Marketing platform including:
    • B2B / B2C websites
    • Brand Center
    • Product Information Management systems
    • Email Marketing
    • Personalization & A/B Testing
    • Analytics & Segmentation
  • Manage and develop our technology landscape including:
    • Adobe Experience Manager
    • Adobe Analytics
    • Adobe Target
    • Adobe Campaign
    • Adobe Audience Manager
    • SAP Gigya
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales

 

Background & Experience

  • Bachelor’s ++/Master degree in computer science, marketing, communication or equivalent experience in science/technology or business-related fields
  • Proven track record of successfully maintaining and developing a Digital Marketing platform
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing software including the ability to challenge technical implementation
  • Experience with Agile Scrum and DevOps way of working
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as sensitivity for different approaches depending on client needs, cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness a must
  • High level of creativity, commitment and passion for IT and digital marketing
  • Technical background in development and/or server management is an asset
  • Fluent in English, any additional language is an asset
