Senior/Lead Sensory Technician

We have a great opportunity for a Senior/Lead Sensory Technician to join our team in Singapore.

 

As Senior/Lead Sensory Technician, at dsm-firmenich, you will be supporting sensory scientists with the delivery of sensory projects and in managing our sensory panels efficiently.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Managing the panel performance program efficiently by initiating appropriate performance feedback sessions, training programs and Induction of new panellists
  • Leading a group of 20 people, our external descriptive panel, to generate data and support in the data analysis from the data generated
  • Supporting sensory scientists with the delivery of sensory studies to meet project objectives to ensure key insights are communicated within the business. Support the sensory technician for test preparation and ensure that all preparation and evaluation protocols are rigorously followed
  • Collaborate closely with the Sensory Team to ensure good coordination of projects, ensuring all sensory duties and responsibilities are completed professionally and timely.
  • Proactively work with sensory scientists in supporting the development of new methodologies, protocols, or sensory proactive programs according to business needs
  • Ensuring the optimum working of sensory facilities (booths, labs, computers/softwares, databases etc) and appropriate supply of any materials used

You bring

 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Consumer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in Sensory or Consumer Science; experience in panel management would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of sensory techniques and statistical analysis
  • Growth mindset and curiosity to learn & adapt to change
  • Digital savviness, great communication, organisation, and project management skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
