Senior Technician

Job title – Senior Technician

Location – Minhang, Shanghai

Your key responsibilities

Prepare and conduct laboratory scale experiments in extraction, purification, and/or concentration of natural materials, using appropriate separation techniques, such as solvent extraction, adsorption, distillation, chromatography, and so on.
Conduct pilot trials and support industrial campaigns.
Prepare and submit experimental samples for chemical analysis and sensory evaluation.
Document all work performed and results obtained in English, in a manner that is thorough, well organized and readily understood by others.
Interact with other departments within the organization and external suppliers on obtaining starting materials, buying lab equipment and chemicals, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.

You bring

Bachelor or Master degree in chemical engineering, food science, pharmaceuticals or related chemistry field. For Bachelor’s degree holders, preferably 3+ years experience in distillation, solvent extraction, centrifugation, chromatography and/or other separation techniques.
High degree of scientific integrity and personal responsibility.
Ability to carry out laboratory experiments and procedures in a meticulous yet timely manner, and collect data that are accurate and reproducible.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to safe work practices.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
Resourceful, energetic, highly motivated.
