Senior Technician, Maintenance

Location: Belvidere, NJ

Monday – Friday (7:00AM – 3:30pm)

As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for performing specialized predictive and preventive maintenance equipment inspections; troubleshooting; plans, installs and/or modified plant equipment and related systems in accordance with Key Performance measures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety/regulatory requirements, and divisional goals. Performs corrective and preventive work orders throughout the plant.

Assigned responsibility is for various equipment plant-wide including, gear boxes, air locks, pumps, blowers, conveyors. Ability to assist with repairs and troubleshoot piping systems, piping components. Emergency and call-in support is required along with adherence to maintenance work process.

Key Responsibilities:

Fill out and review work permit in conjunction with operation personnel prior to starting a job.
Ensure all lockout – tagout procedures are followed.
Locate equipment problems and discuss potential causes.
Recommend practical solutions of technical causes.
Diagnose problems and repair blowers, pumps, airlocks, gearboxes, conveyors, valve installation, pipe welding is a plus, threading and installation. Use of laser alignment tools is preferred.
Repair damages and defects to equipment as per technical instructions and discuss.

You Bring:

A High School Diploma or GED is required. A technical school education in a mechanical discipline is preferred.
Ability to diagnose problems, repair blowers, pumps, air locks, gear boxes, conveyors, prefabrication and installation of piping, valves and pipe threading.
Ability to provide emergencies and call in support as required.

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly range: $35.00 - $40.00.
