Senior Supervisor 3rd Shift - Somerset, NJ

As a Production Supervisor you’ll be working to support the plant’s day-to-day operations.  You’ll be supported by your team with possibilities to grow into a Manufacturing Professional and directly impact the quality of our products – helping to improve real lives.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Driving a positive safety culture with the belief that all injuries can be prevented. Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety guidelines, conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily audits of Quality Risk Assessments, proactively addressing and preventing non-conformances and utilize effective troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis.
  • Optimize on-time delivery by adhering to schedules and adjusting goals as necessary to meet daily targets. Support scheduling and planning of client batches, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
    Utilize Six Sigma tools for continuous process improvements across manufacturing operations.
  • Supervise, coach, develop and evaluate performance of production personnel with a goal of cross training staff, ensuring that cGMP procedures and practices are maintained and followed. 
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging, manage documentation to minimize inventory and work order variances.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, operations management or similar field.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a chemical or food/beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Sanitation experience, preferably in a perfumery and/or food/beverage facility.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $94,000 - $100,000

 

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
