The Senior Supervisor, Warehouse, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for managing product storage and distribution from the dsm-firmenich affiliate located in New Ulm, Minnesota.  This position provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing warehousing, and distribution services and has direct oversight of the warehouse staff.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse staff, which includes accomplishing warehousing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning; monitoring; and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Communicate HS&E rules, procedures and performance to employees and contractor to ensure the highest safety performance is achieved.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

You bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years supervisory experience Materials Management in a food-manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or related environment.
  • Preferred: Technical Certificate, CPIM & APICS affiliate
  • Strong background in Inventory, MRP, Materials Management, SAP System. 
  • Must be proficient in all modes of transportation – domestic and international.
  • Knowledge of import/export requirements of multiple countries essential.

 

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $85-$105k.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
