Job Title: Senior Supervisor, SHE&S, PE

City, Country: Qingyuan, Guangdong, China

This role is about building safety the right way from day one. As Senior Supervisor, SHE&S, you won’t just maintain systems, you’ll help design them, shape the culture, and make sure the new site starts strong and stays safe. You’ll work closely with the Plant Manager, global team and teams on the ground, turning standards into real, everyday practices. It’s a great fit for someone who likes being hands-on, solving real problems, and knowing their work truly protects people and the environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead SHE readiness for site start-up, ensuring safe construction, commissioning, and production ramp-up with strong contractor and permit-to-work management.
  • Establish and maintain SHE management systems in compliance with corporate standards, local regulations, and relevant ISO certifications.
  • Drive risk identification and incident prevention, including hazard assessments, process safety reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Build and embed a strong safety culture, delivering training and coaching leaders to integrate SHE into daily operations.
  • Monitor environmental performance and sustainability initiatives, improving waste, emissions, energy, and resource efficiency.
  • Track and report SHE KPIs, liaising with regulatory authorities and partnering cross-functionally to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.

We offer

  • A Rare End-to-End Plant Build Experience: Full ownership to build, start up, and stabilize a manufacturing site from the ground up — shaping systems, culture, and ways of working from day one.
  • Unique career paths across health, nutrition and beauty - explore what drives you and get the support to make it happen
  • A science led company, cutting edge research and creativity everywhere – from biotech breakthroughs to sustainability game-changers, you’ll work on what’s next
  • Growth that keeps up with you – you join an industry leader that will develop your expertise and leadership
  • A culture that lifts you up – with collaborative teams, shared wins, and people who cheer each other on.
  • A community where your voice matters – it is essential to serve our customers well.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of SHE experience in chemical, perfumery, pharmaceutical, FMCG or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience supporting plant start-up, construction safety, or major expansion projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local EHS regulations and ISO management systems (e.g., ISO).
  • Solid understanding of process safety and risk management in regulated manufacturing settings.
  • Proactive, practical, and accountable, with strong communication skills and the ability to influence across functions.
