Pay: $55,000 - $69,400
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range DSM expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided.
The Senior Specialist, II, Logistics is responsible for supervising and executing the logistics operations of the warehouse under direct supervision of the Supply Chain Management while adhering to strict Good Manufacturing Processes and DSM safety protocols. You will need to give direction to coworkers and assign work without directly supervising these employees. You are responsible for the overall direction and coordination of outbound shipping activities, including but not limited to, planning and preparing outbound paperwork, scheduling freight carriers and directing warehouse employees regarding shipments to prepare and the order in which to load incoming trucks. You will be required to prioritize shipments and assign employee work based on customer due dates and carrier arrival times. You will also carry out a leadership roll in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
You must be detail oriented, self starter and capable of working in a fast paced environment. You must understands the value of customer satisfaction by displaying teamwork and a professional attitude. You must be capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and directing employees. Must have good written and oral communication. Must be a team player and instill in others.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm
This position requires you to be flexible with hours.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the scheduling of inbound/outbound shipments for finished goods and raw materials to meet the needs of the customer while still maintaining cost controls. Follow up on no show carriers and late pickups.
- Responsible for all necessary inbound/outbound shipping/receiving paperwork on domestic & international shipments, including bills of lading, packing slips, delivery counts, purchase order requirements, C of As, MSDSs, expiration dates, labels.
- Work interdepartmentally with all departments to ensure that shipments comply with all regulatory and customer requirements. Ensure all outbound shipments are timely and accurate.
- Coordinate expedited customer shipments with customer service and the DSM carrier base. Oversee shipping interface and carrier management aspects with 3PL.
- Monitor FIFO process for outbound finished goods and raws.
- Reduce damage in warehouse/shipping process and maintain a safe work environment. Follow up with 3PL on lost shipments.
- Assist as needed with the filing of freight claims and carrier corrective actions, coordinating any issues with Supply Chain management and finance.
- Assist with follow up on freight claim resolution.
- Shows leadership by working to SHEQ standards and encouraging colleagues to work to the same standards

You bring:
- High School plus two years logistics & one year warehouse experience.
- 3 years of leadership experience.
- Domestic/International shipping experience using ground, air and ocean transportation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook or equivalent experience and inventory control.
- Must have a "can do" attitude and a positive mindset
