Senior Quality Manager
Location: Barcelona, Spain
The QMS and QA Excellence leader drives the end to end design and evolution of the Group’s quality systems, shaping global standards that elevate performance.
Anticipating risks and opportunities enables proactive, future ready systems that strengthen customer trust. Across BUs, this role unites teams to build a strong quality culture that consistently delivers excellence.
Your key responsibilities
• Lead the design thinking, discussion, alignment and recommendation—collaborating with BU quality representants and other impacted areas—on Group wide Quality Management System Strategy (short, middle and long term), priorities and detailed roadmap including working plan to ensure customer satisfaction, other stakeholders and compliance.
• Based on QMS strategy, design, orchestrate with other Group Quality Pillars, align, cascade, monitor and improve effectiveness of all relevant group quality requirements/standards/guidelines used across the organization—leveraging the capability to develop Systems, Requirements, Standards, Guidelines without references.
• Shape the design thinking, discussion, proposal, monitoring effectiveness and improvement of Quality Assurance processes across the organization—doing so in a proactive and creative manner, identifying opportunities without necessarily a request.
• Drive the design thinking, discussion, proposal, monitoring effectiveness and improvement for Quality Culture transformation and implementation across the organization—acting as a role model and reference to the whole quality community.
• Ensure effective governance and working relationships with global, BU and regional partners to sustain a genuine commitment to an effective QMS and Quality Excellence that adds value to the organization—grounded in trustfulness and the ability to trust others.
• Continuously monitor the effectiveness of QMS and QA Excellence and identify opportunities to improve—being a High performer who strives always for continuous improvement and moves from reactive to proactive mode.
• Seek continuously for new trends and models to be investigated for future (e.g., QAxQCxQM concept).
• Develop expertise in key Quality domains: QMS and the relation with internal audits and external certifications; Quality Assurance Excellence and all related topics.
• Develops and delivers, in collaboration with BU’s, specific training program and content—modeling Good Communicator behaviors and Very Good interpersonal relationships.

You bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or equivalent technical fields; MBA or post-graduate qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) roles within the industry, with proven expertise in implementing group/corporate quality strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of current quality standards, requirements, principles, certifications, and audit processes; certified auditor preferred.
• Strong ability to translate ideas into actionable managerial processes and drive continuous improvement in Quality Assurance and QMS.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, including experience in professional development of teams and executive-level presentations.
• Demonstrated capability to shape strategy, deliver results, drive change, and influence collaboratively across multiple stakeholders and organizational levels.
• Experience engaging with internal (BU heads, procurement, etc.) and external stakeholders (authorities, certification bodies, global customers), acting as a quality culture change ambassador.
