Are you looking for a position that requires innovative thinking and excellent cross functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders?  We are hiring for Senior Manager, Procurement in our Exton, PA location.  This position has a heavy focus on continuous improvement, agility and flexibility to support the business needs with a mindset of “flawless execution”. It requires a high level of strategic thought leadership together with a focus on long‑term value creation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development, definition, and implementation of the Global Procurement Strategy for direct materials and services for dsm-firmenich biomedical by translating business objectives into category and sourcing strategies, establishing strong governance frameworks and strategic procurement plans and building future focused category plans based on market analysis and commercial demands.
  • Leads the Global Strategic Procurement team (Sourcing and Purchasing) by monitoring performance of the team, steering workload and priorities, driving progress on activities and projects, and ensuring compliance to applicable requirements to drive an engaged and energized team that is visibly high performing
  • Leads Sourcing initiatives related to Innovation and Large Operational Projects to support business growth and create value through procurement.
  • Cultivate strategic Supplier Relationships, drive joint innovation and increase transparency with strategic suppliers and conduct supplier performance assessments and ensure alignment to business priorities
  • Provides Cross‑Functional Business Partnering by engaging early with stakeholders to shape demand, influencing commercial agreement terms and conditions and embedding procurement in S&OP process
  • Lead Procurement Capability Development by building strategic skill development such as negotiation, financial acumen, and scenario planning.

 

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and primary work location. Salary $114,700-$147,000.

You Bring:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement (including Sourcing and Purchasing roles) in various business-to-business environments required along with minimum 3 years people management experience required
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing and building Procurement Excellence
  • Experience working in global markets, the Medical Device (or pharma) industry,  project and portfolio management and change management
  • Experience in S&OP along with SAP knowledge and skills
  • Affinity with Quality Management Systems, experience with quality standards applicable in the Biomedical market (ISO13485, cGMP, etc.) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, and/or Engineering
