As Sr. Manager D&T Plant & Automation, you lead and inspire a diverse team of plant‑automation professionals—fueling growth, sparking collaboration, and building a culture where people do the best work of their careers. You’ll be a trusted voice to senior leaders, shaping priorities, influencing bold decisions, and steering roadmaps that define the future of our manufacturing landscape.

 

You also play a senior delivery role—turning ambition into action by aligning demand, balancing capacity, and delivering digital manufacturing solutions that elevate performance across MES, warehousing, automation and robotics. Your leadership accelerates digital transformation, sharpens operational discipline, and drives results that matter.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and develop a global Plant & Automation team, driving clarity, collaboration and high performance.
  • Prioritize and balance demand and capacity, deploying the right expertise for incidents, enhancements and long‑term digital work.
  • Influence senior leaders with clear insights and recommendations that shape priorities, expectations and investment decisions.
  • Deliver digital manufacturing solutions (MES, warehousing, automation, robotics) that improve stability, efficiency and scalability.
  • Strengthen operational discipline, ensuring strong P1/P2 management, ITIL practices and timely, transparent RCA reporting.
  • Accelerate proactive digitalization, inspiring teams and partners to modernize assets and adopt new technologies.

You Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Manufacturing, Engineering, IT or related field; ~10 years in domain.
  • Digital manufacturing expertise (MES, warehousing, ACM, batch mgmt, SCADA/DCS/PLC).
  • Proven people leadership of global teams, including contractors.
  • Clear, effective communication with senior stakeholders; demand and capacity management.
  • Service Desk and ITIL (IM/PM/CM) experience; urgency on P1/P2; disciplined RCA.
  • Flexibility for global time zones (e.g., 7–8 a.m. US alignment); fluent in English.

 

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $150,000-$180,000.

 

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
