Sr. Manager, Safety, Health, Environmental & Security (SHE&S)

Belvidere, NJ (On-site)

 

The Sr. Manager, Safety, Health, Environmental & Security (SHE&S) is responsible for driving culture change and ensuring injury free safety performance at the Belvidere, NJ site, one of the largest sites in North America. This role will manage a variety of different SHE risks including: PSM operations, flammable solvent operation, combustible dusts, self-heating substances, all life savings rules associated risks, etc.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and develops Site SHE Culture & Systems to achieve zero injuries and leak free
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, state and local SHE regulations and dsm-firmenich requirements at the Belvidere site
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, this include Title V permit, OSHA PSM Operations and permits with NJDEP. This includes timely and accurate reporting to all agencies
  • Ensures security of site and compliance with all external and internal security requirements

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline such as chemistry, biology or engineering required
  • Min. 10 years’ experience in operations in a large manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience
  • Sound technical approach to problem solving
  • PSM and general OSHA standards knowledge
 
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. (Salary: $111k - $207k)
 
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
