This position requires strong championship for SHE culture and needs to influence and guide all Health, Nutrition & Care (HNC) site management in the region to cultivate leadership,  awareness, attitudes and actions to achieve continuous improvement of SHE performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent SHE in the Region and coordinate SHE topics closely with the Director GOE SHE Americas, with the Global HNC and with the Regional Operations Management
  • Ensure proper communication from SHE perspectives from and to the Director GOE SHE Americas, SHE Global Directors & Site SHE Managers.
  • Take ownership of the SHE compliance and performance (Leading and lagging indicators) of the sites defined in his scope of his responsibilities closely with the site management and the site SHE representative.
  • Manage, coach, guide, train and provide services and assistance to the sites at the regional level to maintain their SHE compliance in line with the dsm-firmenich requirements.
  • Contribute and lead the drive for a zero injury/incident SHE culture.
  • Advise on SHE related requirements in investment projects.
  • Develop, structure and manage SHE topics, to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, external and internal regulations and standards.
  • Identify BG/BU/site specific SHE issues and put forward to BG/BU/site line management, and support implementation.
  • Gate keeping of dsm-firmenich SHE standards

You Bring:

    • Bachelor or Master degree in Science, Technical, Chemical, Environment Engineering. University degree major in chemical, chemical engineering, environment, or related subjects (desirable).
    • Knowledges and competencies: Broad SHE knowledge of Strong managerial/organizational and social skills o ability to work across cultures and disciplines and communicate effectively in remote and face to face situations.
    • +10 years broad experience in the chemical or other industry on manufacturing related positions.
    • 5+ years leadership skills, driving cultural changes.
    • Experience in powder/liquids technology, premix, compounding.
    • Experience with SHE in Production Management or SHE Management in an operational environment
    • Several years of international experience in multidisciplinary teams.
    • Leadership experience to develop people and teams and strengthen the organization.
    • English fluent, Spanish and/or Portuguese native.
    • Experience in change management and driving continuous improvement.
