Be the lead and driving force behind our savory segment growth! In this role, you will use your technical expertise to enhance and expand West Coast savory application capabilities. Work closely with Sales, Consumer Insights, Flavorists, and customer partners to provide taste/texture solutions aligned with segment strategy and client needs. Shape the future of savory foods in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Your key responsibilities
- Leverage formulations expertise and culinary techniques to develop savory applications and create new concepts using dsm-firmenich technologies
- Collaborate closely with the savory team in North American headquarters to set up the West Coast savory segment for success
- Develop strategic customer relationships via presentations, hands-on benchtop working sessions, and technical-to-technical connections.
- Manage cross-functional projects for the development of products, application of flavors, and engagement with customers.
- Establish and maintain a network of relationships within the dsm-firmenich internal technical community.
- Maintain knowledge of client’s strategies, brands and products.

You bring
- 7+ years’ experience in the food industry with Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Science/Science Technology or equivalent. (5+ years’ experience with Master's Degree).
- Demonstrated technical track record in flavor applications, ingredient expertise and product development.
- Ability to work in kitchens, labs, and pilot plant environments
- Ability to travel to customers in North America ~20%.
The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $120,000 - $135,000 per year.
In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
