Responsible AI Manager

Data + AI Strategy and Design, Responsible AI Manager
Barcelona, Spain or Hyderabad, India.

As Responsible AI Manager, you will embed Responsible AI guardrails directly into our development lifecycle, designing the frameworks that ensure fairness, transparency, and safety. Join us to lead the validation of cutting-edge models and intelligent systems, bridging the gap between technical innovation, regulatory compliance, and human trust. You will build the "trust infrastructure" for the organization. You will select and implement technical tools for model monitoring (e.g., drift detection, fairness metrics), interpret emerging regulations (like the EU AI Act) into technical requirements, and foster a culture of "responsibility by design." You ensure that our speed of innovation never outpaces our safety and integrity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operationalize AI governance. Design and implement the specific workflows, checklists, and approval gates required to move models from experiment to production safely.

  • Lead algorithmic auditing. Conduct deep-dive risk assessments on AI models, specifically testing for bias, drift, toxicity, and hallucinations in generative systems.

  • Define fairness & XAI standards. Establish strict technical metrics for model fairness and enforce the use of Explainable AI (XAI) tools to ensure decision transparency.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance. Translate complex regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR) into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams.

  • Implement monitoring tools. Deploy and manage the tooling ecosystem used to continuously track model performance, data quality, and ethical risks in production.

  • Drive ethical fluency. Coach and upskill data science teams on Responsible AI best practices, ensuring ethical considerations are baked into the design phase.

We offer:

  • Unique career paths across health, nutrition and beauty - explore what drives you and get the support to make it happen
  • A chance to impact millions of consumers every day – sustainability embedded in all we do
  • A science led company, cutting edge research and creativity everywhere – from biotech breakthroughs to sustainability game-changers, you’ll work on what’s next
  • Growth that keeps up with you – you join an industry leader that will develop your expertise and leadership
  • A culture that lifts you up – with collaborative teams, shared wins, and people who cheer each other on.
  • A community where your voice matters – it is essential to serve our customers well.

You bring:

Relevant Experience: 7+ years in Data Science, AI Governance, or Risk Management with a focus on algorithmic accountability.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ML lifecycles and experience with fairness toolkits.

Regulatory Fluency: Deep familiarity with global AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF) and data privacy laws.

Risk Assessment: Proven ability to conduct algorithmic impact assessments and design mitigation strategies for complex AI risks.

Governance Design: Experience building "Human-in-the-loop" workflows and defining policies for Generative/Agentic AI.

Influence & Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and legal/business stakeholders to drive adoption of ethical standards.
