Reliability Engineer- Germantown, WI

 

You Will:

Support the two sites of the DSM Food Specialities Wisconsin facility. The Germantown plant is a 24-hour-a-day, 6-days-a-week operation manufacturing Direct Vat Cultures (DVC) and Bulk Set Cultures (BSC).  The Waukesha facility is a 16-hour-a-day, 6-days-a-week operation manufacturing Lipase. The Reliability Engineer is a key team member who may be required to work off-shifts to support project work, such as monitoring trials or obtaining in-process samples.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Improve the reliability of the plant with regard to equipment, procedures and working methods by analyzing the performance of the plant and developing a preventive and predictive maintenance plan
  • Complete all work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), sanitation/safety/regulatory requirements and divisional goals.
  • Operate in both laboratory and industrial scale manufacturing environments, as well as quality test laboratory, warehouse, packaging, and shipping areas.
  • Broad knowledge of plant operations and interaction with off-site functions is essential to the success of this position.  This position acts as the local interface for integrating the site with sister cultures sites, R&D, BU, DFS and DSM as a whole.

You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
  • 7+ years' experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing, engineering or maintenance preferred.
  • Experience in capital project management preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of FMEA, RCA, tools and application.
  • Knowledge of the FP production processes and specific requirements
  • Knowledge of applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements
