Position - Quality Assurance Officer

This position is responsible for administering and maintaining all aspects of the release function for intermediates, final and packaged products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and release against controlled specifications for intermediates, finished products, as well as contract manufactured material.
- Review controlled documents related to the release function, to identify gaps, prepare new documents or modify existing ones as needed. Coordinate new and revised documents with Quality Documentation group.
- Review documentation, analytical data, product specifications and process changes/deviations before releasing product to ensure adherence to defined specifications. Initiate and resolve any concerns noted. Issue final product Certificates of Analysis and update product statuses.
- Assist with maintaining deviations in the TrackWise system.
- Prepare, obtain approvals and revise controlled specifications at the plant level based on corporate direction for product contact packaging, raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Work with various department managers to develop corrective actions under the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) program.
- Conduct product sampling, as applicable
You bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science preferred
- Knowledge of FDA food good manufacturing practices (GMP) 21 CFR 110.
- Ability to understand a complex biological and chemical manufacturing process.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- 3 years of direct experience in Quality Assurance
- 3 years’ experience with GMP
- All key areas of accountability listed in Section 5.
