Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Kingstree

 

What You’ll Do:

Provide leadership and direction for Quality Assurance Officer personnel.  The primary responsibilities for this position includes the management of the Quality Assurance Release function; to ensure that products are in compliance with specifications; meet the company’s quality and integrity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the review and release of product ensuring adherence to defined specifications
  • Aid in determining effective corrective action with deviation investigations. 
  • Ensure controlled specification system for product contact packaging, raw materials, intermediates, and finished product is maintained.
  • Conduct internal audits, as specified in the Internal Compliance Program requirements. 
  • Conduct and report food safety inspections throughout the plant, keeping trend data to assess program effectiveness.
  • Conduct MOCK recall/track and trace exercises.
  • Manage the Kosher / Halal and HACCP program.

 

You bring:

  • BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related science.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of FDA good manufacturing practices (GMP) 21 CFR Part 117, FSSC 22000, FEMAS, and FAMI-QS.
  • Ability to understand a complex biological and chemical manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of TrackWise, Documentum and SAP systems.
  • HACCP, PCQI and Auditing certification is desired
  • Requires strong leadership skills, self-direction under minimal supervision, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 7 – 10 years of Quality Assurance or equivalent Technically based Experience
  • 3 years of Quality Leadership/Management or equivalent Technically based Experience
  • Understanding of cGMP/Quality compliance activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the abilities to present findings to management
