The Manager, Production is responsible for the management, direction and coordination of production operations; develops plans to achieve optimum performance of each operation unit and oversee the implementation of plans, goals and objectives. This position will  achieve these objectives by delegation authority to lead personnel and supervisors in assigned area and will   ensure proper training of staff, prepare related reports and audit current procedures to assure compliance with company policy.

Your key responsibilities

  • Controls quality and cost of production through appropriate subordinates and coordination with peer managers.
  • Ensures that fixed asset capital investments are properly managed and provide a maximum return.
  • Develops an awareness of new and emerging technologies and provide recommendations when applicable and practical.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of production units and the safety of all operating staff members.  The safety of operations personnel must be equal to the importance of excellent product quality and production of products.
  • Responsible for promoting food product safety, the use of GMPs, and the overall sanitation of plant production areas and for all compliance with HACCP policies.
  • Responsible for providing complete up-to-date operating procedures for all routine job assignments and cleaning processes.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Management or related field required.  If no degree, equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience in a plant operations management position is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office and general computer skills necessary.
  • Manufacturing software experience helpful.

 

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $120-$140k.

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
