Production Engineer - Freeport, TX

Production Engineer

Location – Freeport, TX

Onsite

 

As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering and problem-solving skills to ensure the process operates safely and optimally, monitoring and analyzing process performance, analyzing limitations and bottlenecks, identifying opportunities for process improvements, developing and implementing solutions, and serving as the process technology expert on site in the Vinylol and Vinyl Salt areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track plant performance (output, quality, yields, solvent usage, energy).
  • Lead operations in troubleshooting and investigation (Root Cause Analysis) of significant unplanned operational events.
  • Develop and document in-depth process technology understanding. 
  • Define optimal operation conditions (KOPs/KPISs). Work closely with operations to monitor plant and adjust for optimum performance.
  • Update Operating Unit Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures in assigned process areas.
  • Leads/support process and computer validation as necessary.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

 You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • One or more years of experience providing engineering support in production or project roles.
  • Knowledge of production unit operations and manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements.
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques, Root Cause Analysis, tools and application.
  • cGMP operational knowledge considered a plus.
  • Solids and dust handling knowledge considered a plus.
