Process optimization & compliance Manager

Job Title: Process optimization & compliance Manager

Location: Barcelona, Spain

We’re looking for a dynamic Process Optimization & Compliance Manager who is passionate about elevating IT performance across a global organization. In this role, you will drive continuous improvement, simplify complex workflows, and ensure seamless integration of processes and best practices throughout our D&T teams. As a specialist in GxP, Security, or ITIL, you will champion compliance, strengthen audit readiness, and reinforce our commitment to operational excellence.

You’ll play a pivotal role in professionalizing our IT operations—implementing modern frameworks, promoting adoption, and using technology and AI to make our processes more efficient, consistent, and resilient. Success in this role requires a natural ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels, from leadership to technical delivery teams, guiding them toward a more structured, efficient, and compliant way of working.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead process simplification, optimization, and adoption initiatives across D&T to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Analyse, design, and implement IT processes aligned with organizational objectives, compliance standards, and best‑practice frameworks.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or ITIL.
  • Ensure IT processes comply with relevant regulatory and internal frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, GxP, Security).
  • Oversee compliance monitoring, reporting, and risk indicator tracking, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
  • Support internal and external audits, including evidence collection, remediation planning, and follow‑up.
  • Facilitate workshops, trainings, and cross-functional collaboration to drive process awareness, adoption, and continuous improvement.

We offer

  • A purpose‑driven, science‑led organization with a rich history of innovation and a strong commitment to sustainability.
  • A flexible and empowering work environment where you can own your outcomes and shape how work gets done.
  • Opportunities for continuous learning, personal growth, and professional development supported by an open, curious mindset.
  • A diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee is respected, valued, and encouraged to contribute their unique perspective.
  • The chance to influence IT excellence, compliance maturity, and operational standards across a global organization.
  • A collaborative culture built on shared success, creativity, and strong partnerships with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • A meaningful role where your expertise directly improves efficiency, compliance, and the overall employee and organizational experience.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, and 7+ years of experience in IT process management, integration, audit, or compliance.
  • Strong expertise in at least one compliance or governance domain (GxP, ITIL, Security, GDPR, or similar) and proven experience supporting audit cycles and navigating regulatory and quality‑management requirements.
  • Proficiency with process‑modelling tools and the ability to analyze, document, and continuously improve workflows and operational processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or CISA, or demonstrated experience leading GxP or similar compliance strategies.
  • Familiarity with GxP and validation frameworks (e.g., GAMP 5), or with IT security, risk management, and related governance standards.
  • Industry experience within regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food, finance, or other compliance‑driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern IT service management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement methodologies.
