The Process Safety, Health, Environmental & Security Engineer manages processes while ensuring efficient, high-quality production while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee plant safety as well as production process/plant improvement engineering projects.
- Work with plant personnel on site, safety, maintenance, operations improvements and organizing and monitoring project implementation and completion.
- Develop strategies to enhance production and equipment performance, optimize asset utilization, and improve product quality and yield.
- Support and act as site local SHE&S expert for both site and process safety.
- Support site food safety programs, ensuring ongoing compliance and improvements.
- Provides site guidance, direction, training, maintain and report SHE&S KPIs, and ensure accurate reporting of performance metrics.
- Manage corporate safety adherence working with regional and corporate dsm-firmenich SHE&S experts.
- Provide site guidance and direction for SHE&S.
- Support all site SHE&S audits and maintains current knowledge of OSHA and Hygiene laws to guide.
- Continue to improve site production processes and safety with understanding of GEMBA and Lean Six Sigma processes.

You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required; Engineering degree preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Process Engineering)
- Prior experience in a food production environment is preferred.
- Prefer previous engineering design experience in process or system improvements not strictly in a SHE environment.
- Safety, Health & Environmental knowledgeable required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient or advanced in basic math, with analytical and statistical reasoning abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); SAP experience preferred.
- Strong teamwork, autonomy, and accountability skills, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations.
