We have 1 permanent vacancy for a Plant Electrician. within the Premix Production Department working on a dayshift rotation (6.00am – 3.00pm and 09.00am – 6.00pm). There will also be a requirement to work additional hours for breakdowns, as well as one Saturday a month for maintenance.

Your key responsibilities:

Carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines.
Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.
Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment to production.
Manage & maintain all electrical jobs/maintenance on Ultimo.
Scheduling work and ordering parts within maintenance budget.
Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.
Recording relevant job history.
Entering an accurate time recording for the job.
Completing all relevant paperwork

You bring:

The successful candidate will be expected to be a time served Electrical tradesman with an ONC or equivalent through knowledge and experience
At least 5 years’ experience in an automated environment.
Candidates should have a proven track record of technical competence in their own area of discipline with fault finding and manual skills.
Other essential behaviors are: good communication, flexible approach, self-starter and team player.
Preference will be given to any person who has in-depth Ultimo experience, as well as to those with CompEX certifications.
