The global Personal Care (PC) Market is an exciting, growing market! Megatrends, such as aging population, increasing health awareness and men’s grooming support the growth of our industry.

In terms of the product portfolio of PC, there are three main end use applications: skin care, sun care and hair care with specific product portfolios serving each. In addition there are vitamins which can go into any and all of these applications. 

 

The Challenge

The Senior Marketing Manager will contribute to the Personal Care results by translating the global marketing strategy into a winning short/mid/long term regional marketing strategy across segments based on a deep understanding of regional consumer and customer needs in line with the business unit strategy. The successful candidate will lead the development of winning regional launch strategies with all stakeholders (global/region/local) based on global launch plans across all touch points ie. product, price, place and promotion enabling excellence in execution in the sales organization.  You will also be responsible for providing deep technical know-how and information to  the sales force.

 

The Position

  • Translate and implement the Global Marketing strategy into a regional marketing strategy
  • Priority setting across product segments for the sales team in line with overall global marketing strategy
  • Deliver regional/local market insights as base for global strategy development
  • Provide input on business cases for new product developments
  • Analyze key customers and lead the development of detailed individual action plans to drive the business
  • Contribute to the identification and acquisition of customers for market solutions services and the definition of related projects
  • Lead the implementation of global launch strategies for product and commercial innovations in the region
  • Collaborate with the application lab
  • Provide strong technical support to regional Sales force/Global Marketing
  • Master and champion regional customer and consumer understanding and identify untapped consumer/customer needs
  • Execute competitor reviews with stakeholders
  • Develop and lead customer presentations and answer marketing specific questions in customer requests
  • Work with external partners, agencies and consultants (where appropriate) to drive business objectives


The Ideal

  • Master’s degree required; Marketing, Business or Science focus preferred
  • Life Science or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) background a strong plus
  • 5 years of working experience in B2B business, Cosmetics or Cosmetics Ingredients industry
  • Superior knowledge of the beauty industry
  • Strong expertise across all 4 Marketing Ps: Product, Price, Promotion, Place
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing regional marketing strategies and executing product/commercial launch plans in a region
  • Passion for beauty and science
  • Ability to influence others and utilize resources appropriately
  • Strong ability to translate customer and consumer insights into winning regional/local concepts
  • Strong result orientation and accountability for results
  • Strong ability to collaborate swiftly across functions and geography
  • Energetic, passionate, hard-working and curious
  • Embraces change and has strong willingness to learn
