We are #HIRING a Commercial Manager

Location: Parsippany, NJ


Supports the Sr. Commercial Manager via various activities and analysis on both the value and volume aspects within the portfolio. The main role of the Commercial Manager is to implement the global pricing strategy, optimize the GPx of the portfolio and to translate the global product strategies into regional commercial actions.


• Lead the monthly regional demand planning process, chair the monthly regional demand review, and participate in the monthly global demand review

• Forecasts sales accurately in strong collaboration with the sales & marketing team and finalizes the regional demand review in line with PCA’s global integrated business planning process.

• Coordinate and consolidate forecast from cross functional teams to develop regional short term financial forecast

• Responsible for commercial operation and system trainings to new employees

• Conduct revenue and margin analysis for business insights.

• Support allocation planning process within the region

• In case of quality issues or recalls, the Commercial Manager is responsible for the coordination within the region of such issues.


The role must be in close collaboration with the Sr. Commercial Manager, Global Commercial Manager, Regional Business Controller, Global Product Management, Customer Service, Sales and Supply Chain. 


You’ll be responsible to:


Ensure sustained regional sales and profitability in line with the PCA budget and strategy.


• Develop regional budget input.

• Day-to-day commercial management to steer regional salesforce efficiently.

• Collaborate with Global Commercial, Product Management & Supply Chain to ensure supply and resolve issues

• Identify, collect, and understand trends/needs that can lead to new products/customers, applications, and market expansion projects.

• Ensure adequate business intelligence, maintain awareness of competitor’s products and strategies, and adapt the commercial strategies as needed.

• Create adequate internal & external communication on commercial issues.

• Manage quality issues and potential recalls within the region.

• Coordinate the monthly demand planning process

• Maintain the demand planning system (IBP)

• Prepare input & analysis for, and facilitate sales plan development through the Demand Review

• Facilitate strategic decisions on issue resolution and gap closing

• Steer short term demand reconciliation

• Responsible for product change management in PCA NA

What we look for in you:

• University degree in business and/or technical, MBA desired, but not mandatory if strong track record in commercial management is available.

• Excellent understanding of customer’s business segment and activities, Personal Care market and developments.

• Proven track record of 5 years in several assignments in at least two different functions e.g. Product Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations or Demand Planning

• Previous customer-facing experience. • Previous integrated business planning/sales and operations planning experience

• Excellent knowledge of key IT systems.

• Consistent track record of new wins and ability to identify and create new business opportunities

• Commercially savvy and experienced in communication, internally and externally

• Good written and oral communication skills. Can make business proposals.
