Legal Entity Controller

Location: Parsippany, NJ

 

We are seeking a Legal Entity Controller to ensure the integrity of financial Statements and management reports in accordance with DSM Accounting Rules and local, statutory Accounting standards. In this position, you will report to the DSM Sr. Financial Controller. 

 

Some of your responsibilities will be:

Strategy:

  • Responsible to execute the financial control for the region
  • Manage quality and efficiency towards top quartile

 

Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health

  • ImplemenQESH structures and systems, iline with DSM anBG guidelines and systems in order to meelegal obligations, guarantee thquality of processes anensure a safe and healthy workinplace for employees

 

Organization Structure and Development

  • Closely interact with the Financial Shared Services and Global Service Center
  • Closely interact with other financial control teams 

  

Finance, Administration, and Reporting:

  • Assist in budget preparation
  • Process final budget in SAP
  • Support in FOOP, CAPEX, OPEX and Management reporting & consolidation
  • Monitor accounting processing of GSC/FSS in line with DAR
  • Ensure adherence to IFRS
  • Support Senior Financial Controller in the contact with the Auditor for financial audit and as contact for 3rd part and non-financial audit

  

Legal Entity Support and Ownership

  • Become the single point of contact for legal entity for financial control related questions 
  • Serve as the go-to person to help resolve/remediate issues that have an accounting impact for assigned legal entity(ies)

 

Regional Process Team Participation

  • Participate in assigned Regional Process team and help drive the following (with direction from the global team):
    • Process monitoring & optimization
    • Defining and monitoring of KPI's and PPI's 
    • Maintenance and Management of ARIS/Process flows
    • Setting up training programs as applicable to ensure adherence to defined processes
    • Coordination of securing related tooling (e.g. closing cockpit/robotizing)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Knowledge & Education and Experience

  • Minimum relevant working experience 6-10 years (with Bachelor's degree) or 10-14 years of experience (without Bachelor's degree)
  • Finance expert with knowledge of Finance and Control processes
  • IFRS Knowledge
