The Challenge

Ensures inventory integrity for Ontario plant to include raw material and finished goods. Interacts with Finance Department in relation to all inventory matters.

 

The Position

Performs/Applies knowledge and skills to diverse reactions

  • Tracks, monitors, and oversees raw materials, and finished goods inventory throughout the manufacturing process.  Responsible for verifying accuracy of incoming & outgoing materials for manufacturing via SAP. 
  • Manages raw materials, and finished goods accuracy through the cycle counting process.  Maintains material records and compiles evaluation reports.
  • Accountable for the timely processing of necessary Goods Issue and Goods Receipts paperwork via SAP (i.e. bills of lading, pick tickets, process orders, production orders receiving, etc.). 
  • Determine disposition and segregate all non-conforming raw materials and finished products.
  • Conducts a daily audit of inventories (i.e., raw materials, and finished goods) and uploads results into SAP and other support inventory management systems as needed.
  • Maintains inventory load balancing between 3rd party warehouse and Ontario warehouse to ensure priorities and delivery/production schedules.
  • Provides feedback to Site Controller regarding discrepancies resulting in material P&L impact. 
  • Collaborates with Production team to ensure timely delivery of incoming goods from 3rd party warehouse.
  • Performs other duties and specials projects as assigned.
  • Understanding and communication of inventory item-level analysis, and inventory levels.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, research root causes and participate in efforts to implement demonstrated permanent corrective actions (i.e., no repeat variances)
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to limit the risk of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Backs up manager and is point of contact when out.
  • Must be able to work any shift or overtime as needed.

 

The Ideal

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Material Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or any related field from an accredited institution.
  • APICS certification and LSS Green belt or higher a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point and MS Outlook). Proficient in SAP, WMS.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
  • Must be able to lead projects through completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Operate as a member of a high performing cross functional team.
