Job Title: Sr. Expert, SHE&S
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI

 


As a Sr. Expert, Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHE&S), you will partner and collaborate with site employees and managers on the implementation and improvement actions in their work areas to meet the SHE standards established according to the applicable company, corporate and mandatory SHE regulations and requirements. The Sr. Expert SHE&S is also responsible for reporting performance leading indicators, as well as environmental for sustainability reporting. To be successful, the Sr. Expert SHE&S will establish, maintain and leverage strong relationships with people at all levels and functions at the sites and be able to take direction from the Sr. SHE&S Manager to operationalize requirements.



Your Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain & audit all Safety Programs, Critical Controls, and Standards.
• Ensure regulatory License-to-Operate compliance for Safety,Health,and Environmental.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Develop, deliver, and track site SHE training.
• Execute the site SHE strategic plan, including culture-building initiatives and leadership engagement.

Contractor Safety Management.
• Oversee Environmental & Sustainability reporting.
• Write and implement SHE SOPs aligned with plant operation’s and people needs.
• Maintain the site chemical inventory & ensure all chemicals meet the SHE requirements.
• Lead Industrial Hygiene & exposure risk reduction programs.

You Bring:
• Associate’s degree in a safety or related field from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma with relevant work experience OR OSHA-accredited training with 5 years’ relevant professional experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

• BA/BS preferred.

• Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to Safety, Health & Environment, such as EPA, NFPA, OSHA, ACGIH, MMSD and NIOSH.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate technical issues to a diverse organization.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proven ability to leverage critical thinking skills for creative problem solving.

 

 

The wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000. 

 

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits. All benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements.
