We want a strong operations professional with experience in food and beverage manufacturing who is looking for a challenge, eager to drive continuous improvement and lead a team.  You’ll oversee and manage daily production activities and operations, while ensuring adherence to quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety protocols.  You will establish performance standards, verify results, determine workflow, and troubleshoot problems.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Directly manage all Production Labor employees.  Conduct employee training and performance appraisals under the supervision of the Plant Manager.
  • Provide formulations to production personnel, ensuring awareness of customer requirements and shipping schedules.  Ensure materials are accurately identified throughout all stages of production.
  • Collaborate daily with the Plant Manager, production personnel, and quality department to meet product specifications.
  • Review and verify daily production batch paperwork for accuracy and completion.  Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure compliance with SQF 2000 (Safe Quality Food) code.
  • Ensure SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) compliance and preform process safety roles as assigned. 
  • Manage contractor and preventative maintenance programs, scheduling services and ensuring GMP adherence and cleanup.

 

The salary scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and primary work location. Salary $114,700-$120,000.

You bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of operations experience in the food/flavors industry required
  • Knowledge of food products, processing techniques, equipment, and inspection procedures.  Understanding of GMPs, quality, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and SQF 2000 standards.
  • Ability to interpret formulas and processes along with strong problem-solving and corrective action skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
