As a Material Procurement Planner, you will ensure material availability by creating purchase orders, maintaining accurate planning parameters, and resolving raw‑material risks will thrive in this role. You’ll manage daily supplier communication, track overdue deliveries, confirm sales orders, and keep systems updated to protect customer commitments. This position collaborates cross‑functionally to remove obstacles, support supplier non‑conformance follow‑up, and maintain strong planning KPIs. You’ll also provide forecasts, escalate continuity risks, and proactively manage materials nearing expiration to keep operations running smoothly.
This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true customer/consumer demand signals by which the organization aligns supply chain and company resources. It’s a critical role in the beginning of a Sales & Operation planning process, as revenue and supply plans leverage this information
Your key responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders and planning parameters to meet material demand while monitoring overdue requisitions and delivery dates.
- Track and resolve raw‑material crisis alerts, escalating risks that threaten business continuity or planning KPIs.
- Maintain daily communication with external suppliers, securing delivery confirmations and providing forecasts as needed.
- Update system data by reviewing past‑due purchase orders, confirming sales orders, and ensuring accurate material status.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve issues affecting customer deliveries and support closure of supplier non‑conformances.
- Coordinate with Quality on materials nearing expiration and contribute to maintaining strong Planning KPI performance.

You bring
- Experienced in Planning or Purchasing in similar job.
- Familiar with Planning concepts and strategies.
- Familiar with SAP or any other ERP system.
- Experienced in similar activities such as Purchase Orders creation and management, stock management, MRP and procurement process.
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $ 90K-110k.
