Manager D&T Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Job Title: Manager D&T Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Location: Barcelona, Spain

As a Manager D&T Manufacturing Execution System, you will be accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of MES (Manufacturing Executed System) solutions tailored to the needs of (mainly) cosmetics & food manufacturing facilities. This role demands a comprehensive grasp of manufacturing requirements, as well as a proven track record of managing parallel 6-12 months initiative. You will work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of MES systems.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Position the MES technology (Siemens Opcenter Process) as a pivotal component of the group's manufacturing architecture.
  • Developing and implementing domain goals (function blocks) aligned with company strategy.
  • Securing processes to track progress towards functionalities implementation and to communicate features implementations to stakeholders.
  • Managing both internal and remote IS resources.
  • Planning and organizing the different associated activities, project and/or operational WBS (work breakdown structure).
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations related to manufacturing area and software development.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
  • 15 years’ experience in the Manufacturing Execution System and Fine Chemicals Industry.
  • 10 years managing his/her domain of expertise in an international environment.
  • Ability to implement scoping definition, task scheduling, budget management processes and to organize these tasks / activities into a logical sequence.
  • Ability to manage external vendors and/or partners and assess quality of work.
  • Knowledge of project management and continuous improvements methodologies
  • Ability to manage and oversee the performance of internal and remote IS resources
  • Ability to develop his/her and team skillset to support the solution within the entreprise.
