Logistics Operator I

Location – Freeport, TX

Onsite

12 hour Rotating Shifts

 

As a Logistics Operator I, you will be responsible for finished product packaging. This includes proper labeling and record keeping complying with cGMP and API ICHQ7a standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining the packaging areas in compliance with housekeeping and sanitation standards; packaging finished product into reefers for shipping; material movement throughout site, managing waster areas; and conducting inspections on equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares packaging equipment and self for packing operation, including required clothing, completion of paperwork and collection of labels to be used.
  • Pre-stage drums for packaging, check cleanliness of drums, insert Alu-liners, place lid loosely on each drum, prepare product drum labels. 
  • Packages final product to specified weights (as directed by the Production Supervisor or designee). Samples final product for lab analysis and deliver samples to the QC lab.
  • Fill drums, seal PE liner, vacuum seal Alu-liners, attach lid and apply seal, clean and inspects final drums, labels drums, stacks and palletizes drums, shrink wraps drums / pallets, create pallet labels and attach, ensure pallet label matches drum numbers.
  • Loads pallets of drums on refrigerated trailer. 
  • Monitors trailers for temperature and cleanliness.

 You bring

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Valid & unrestricted driver’s license
  • 1 year or more manufacturing experience in a plant environment
  • Ability to operate company vehicle(s) including forklifts/ Spotter trucks (yard dog) to move trailers to and from loading docks.
