Logistics Network Design Modeler

We are looking now for a Network Design Modeler, who will optimize the logistics process from manufacturing to customer delivery by designing an effective, agile and efficient logistics network with the right physical footprint and the right transportation. The Network Design Modeler will do this while balancing service impact, cost, cash and environmental footprint impact and ensuring that the network is agile, robust and able to support further business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Network Strategy and Design:
Analyze existing supply chain and logistics infrastructure to identify optimization opportunities.
Design network models to improve global decision-making within Group and Business Unit Supply Chain Leadership.
• Logistics Network Modeling:
Collaborate with the Lead Analyst to model logistics networks in AIMMS.
Optimize logistics setups, including warehouse locations, transport modalities, and supplier selection.
Address local business requests and support growth by designing logistics for new plants, customers, or regions.
Be able to model and share insights on cost, inventory, leadtime and CO2 footprint impact from the logistics network model.
• Data Management:
Work with the Data Analyst to collect, verify, and load data into AIMMS.
• Collaboration with Senior Management:
Translate business needs into modeling frameworks with the Senior Manager.
Simplify or generalize aspects for modeling from data collection.
Present model outcomes, recommendations, and business cases to stakeholders in understandable way.
• Ad-Hoc Support and Risk Analysis:
Provide logistics network design and optimization for ad-hoc requests, and perform risk analysis.
• Stakeholder Management:
Ensure project success through strong modeling expertise, stakeholder management, and business acumen.

YOU BRING
• Completed Master's degree (preferably MSc) in such disciplines as Supply Chain (Optimization), Econometrics/Knowledge Engineering, Operations Research, Engineering, Analytics, or Logistics.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics.
• Proven expertise in logistics network design & optimization with the ability to build strong business cases, and present meaningful results.
• Project management experience
• Excellent practical skills in modeling and programming (e.g., Python, C++, R), and Supply Chain Optimization Modeling Software (preferably AIMMS, otherwise Coupa Llamasoft, or Optilogic).
• Sharp business acumen and excellent analytic, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Well-developed problem-solving a well as quantitative and analytical skills
• The ability to maintain a focus on simplicity while dealing with challenges while translating complex notions to the business stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
