In order to ensure product quality and compliance with Japanese regulations, DSM Japan operates in-house lab in Yokohama, Japan. Senior Quality Analyst performs quality assurance and quality control analysis in food, pharma and cosmetic applications. As DSM vitamins are used as active pharma ingredients (API), quality analysis needs to operate analysis under GMP regulations and fulfil Japanese customers’ requests/demands.
Your key responsibilities
- Keep updating GMP documents and any other essential documents for lab operations, including SOPs
- Take necessary action based on agreement on management of change, deviation management, and other GMP activities
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs team to stay up to date on the latest regulatory information
- Respond to government inspections and customer audits
- Update QM/SAP master data
- Perform tests and analysis with products
- Issue CoAs based on analysis results
- Conduct equipment maintenance periodically
- Control reagents and chemical waste
- Keep and archive records of laboratory activities
- Support customer’s R&D when requested
- Attend training seminars to learn new technologies or changes in regulations.
- Follow all policies & procedures relating to SHE and advise management of any SHE related issues

You bring
- University degree in natural sciences such as chemistry, pharmacy
- General knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Knowledge on laboratory instruments/equipment in general Native speaker of Japanese, intermediate level in English
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook and Excel
- At least 7-year work experience as QC/QA, regulatory affairs, research scientist, or engineer
- Good communication and team working skills
- Experience in working with HPLC is asset
- SAP use experience is asset
