As a Lead Specialist, Quality Assurance, you will drive daytoday quality operations and help ensure our site meets the highest food safety and regulatory standards. You’ll coordinate audits, strengthen our quality culture, and support continuous improvement. This role is key to protecting our customers, our brands, and our commitment to excellence.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Promote a strong mindset across the site. Drive the site’s quality goals in alignment with global and regional strategies.
  • Drive documentation control, quality systems governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead daily QA activities and support compliance with site’s Food Safety & Quality Management System.
  • Lead non-conformance investigation (both raw material and finished product) and root cause analysis. Manage corrective and preventive actions to ensure effective resolution.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits; maintain site certifications (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, Kosher, Halal).
  • Monitor food safety performance and ensure key programs are effective. Support and improve hazard control programs such as HACCP, food defense, and food fraud prevention. Analyze data for KPI’s, trends, and present improvement opportunities to the team.

You bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the food or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Certification: HACCP, PCQI, and Lead auditor a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety & quality systems (BRC, FSSC, ISO).
  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Highly selfmotivated with a structured, disciplined approach to continuous improvement.

 

 

The hourly rate provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly Rate $26-28 per hour.  

 

In addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
