Job title – Lead Specialist, Application (Analytical), APAC, HNC

Location – Singapore

 

The Lead Specialist, Application (Analytical) applies scientific procedures with the understanding of the nutritional products to conduct laboratory experiments and provide analytical support to HNC customers.

The specialist is responsible for coordinating with internal and external labs for analytical method development, sample testing, as well as carrying out laboratory experiments in the analytical lab, including nutritional panel analysis, microbiological analysis and individual molecule assessment

 

The incumbent is to conduct all analysis to approved scientific and internal methods within a timely, reproducible, and accurate manner with minimal supervision post training and is to work with Sales, Marketing and Technical BD for the review and analysis of samples to be tested.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate with internal and external labs for new analytical method development or transfer, as well as sample testing.
  • To perform in house analysis of vitamins, minerals and other HNC active ingredients related to nutritional products as defined by USP, AOAC, FDA, ISO, Merck, BP etc.
  • To review and assist team members to conduct shelf life analytical studies.
  • To monitor and analyze customer complaints and assist with investigations.
  • To perform, HPLC, Spectrophotometric and ICP analysis together with various other testing procedures as available with the analytical and IAC laboratories in Singapore
  • To conduct calibration and calculate standard curve analysis to ensure validity of results
  • To maintain accurate records of all results in a systematic manner for auditing and customer correlations
  • Work with sales and marketing to assist with customer presentations and product investigation
  • To present analytical results and recommendations to team members post conducting analysis
  • To keep up to date on the development of new procedures by attending conferences, working with collaborative institutions, and reviewing newly published scientific literature

You Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, food technology, pharmaceutical)
  • 5 years’ experience in a related analytical field
  • Be familiar with analytical methods and techniques
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines and methods of analysis protocols
  • Ability to work independently and with teams to conduct investigative analysis
  • Have good verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to conduct, understand variance and interpret analytical results
  • Experience in operating, maintaining, and calibrating analytical equipment
