Lead Production Associate, Kit Assembly

Newark, DE

 

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the Kit Assembly team in the assembly of lateral flow diagnostic and hygiene sampling kits according to the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the production unit and ensure the supply of high-quality products to our customers.

This position supports our Romer Labs division, a global leader in innovative diagnostic solutions for food and feed safety. With a focus on mycotoxins, food allergens, GMOs, and microbial contaminants. Making the World's Food Safer® romerlabs.com  

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage MRP/production schedules for kit assembly, ensuring alignment with inventory levels and customer demand.
  • Oversee SAP data management, including work order creation, inventory transfers, material requirement planning, and documentation compliance.
  • Coordinate daily production of finished and semi-finished products to meet quality, workflow, and in-process control requirements.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, COA and labeling databases, and customer-facing documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and GMP standards.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, organize raw/semi-finished materials, and communicate procurement needs to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Support process improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and uphold 6S workplace organization and good documentation practices.

You bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous assembly experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead a team and oversee processes
  • Working knowledge of SAP, GMP, and SOPs
  • Capable of safely lifting 50 pounds

 

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly rate $23.00-28.00.
