The Lead Expert Commercial Excellence, Inside Sales will be responsible for management of existing small revenue accounts, single technology accounts, Inside sales (no traveling to customers) to generate new business from existing dsm-firmenich non-custom products into new, prospected or incoming leads, Lead Management and associated activities as it pertains to: Inbound response (lead triage/mgmt.); Account Management (Inside/house accounts, samples, CRM); Commercial coordination (RFQ process, training site mgmt., general support) and Administrative support as requested. Role also requires working closely with Sr. Director of Commercial Development/Country Leads, to triage (qualify, disqualify, assign) accounts exceeding $100k to CDMS, and/or those accounts requiring custom and/or high revenue projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Triaging- Qualification and/or disqualification of incoming leads, following required Sales Process and using required Lead/Funnel system, inclusive of using Microsoft program, emails, calls, virtual video conferencing, and coordination of necessary technical support to advance lead appropriately.
- This role will support both written, video conference, and phone follow-up communications with customer/prospects to establish basic understanding of inbound inquiries and establish clear next steps. This role will present prospected and qualified data collection to seek assignment of prospect from the Commercial Development Directors/Managers for approval, to maintain responsibility of accounts (under $100k, non-custom products) or assignment to others.
- Opportunity management: Process and execute NDA/MTA’s and once received, provide product quotes, with approval from Biomaterial Directors and Sales Directors . Manage quotes, and product sampling activities for assigned accounts, new prospects, and for other commercial assignments as requested.
- Running Business: Ensuring compliance of existing contracts, including working with Contract Analyst and Legal, to amend, as well as create new agreements as required. Checking the system to make sure contracts are active and compliant, handling the general account management tasks (administrative) and required template submission. Revenue management will be required for existing and new prospects, up to $2M annully.
- RFQ Intake Process: Provide organizational support to ‘Request for Quote (RFQ)’ process including central coordination and communication across multiple teams (Sales Director, Business Unit Leaders, Finance) to ensure accurate quoting, delivery on timelines, frequent check ins, actions and assignments. Project status reporting and communication to commercial management on progress expected. Expected progress will be reviewed with manager prior to communication. Frequent follow ups and revisions as necessary, until closed/won, or disqualified/lost.
- Data Management: CRM System: keep track of Leads, Opportunities, and Accounts, following Sales Process and funnel entry requirements. Track correspondence, provide updates to the team as necessary, within system and verbally.
- Provide ongoing support of Commercial activities and coordination between Sales, Marketing, ADTS and other general functions across the organization.
- Learning & Development - coordinate content and administer Commercial Education as necessary with Medical Training Coordinator using current training systems. Manager will support with this.
- Create, coordinate, & schedule commercial related events, meets and customer visits, in collaboration with Sr. Director Commercial Development.
- Help to develop and implement Commercial communication plan(s) and facilitate communication across the organization.

You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Science, Biology, or a related field
- 2-4+ years of full-time experience in med device, biomaterial, life science, or pharmaceutical field
- Previous experience as Inside Sales, application development, project management, sales, marketing, communications, and/or technical sales will be beneficial.
- Previous experience in engineering, medical device, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industries required.
- Product knowledge of biomedical materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and conferencing skills.
