Lead Coordinator, Outbound Logistics

Role: Lead Coordinator Outbound Logistics
Location: Louvain-La-Neuve

This position plays a vital role within the organization, contributing significantly to the overall performance of the factory. The incumbent will play a key role in achieving key operational metrics such as OTIF (On Time In Full), Quality, FIFO (First In First Out), and labelling accuracy. - This role requires a thorough understanding of DSM-Firmenich's various processes and flows, including production, planning, and customer experience (CX).  

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Monitor and execute internal and external deliveries in accordance with safety, quality, cost and deadline requirements (OTIF).

  • Assist the team in resolving issues related to OBD creation, such as GTS blockages, order holds or credit issue.

  • Create and update OBDs (Outbound Deliveries) in SAP and collaborate with the Customer Care, Planning and Packaging teams.

  • Coordinate operations with the MAG OUT and Inventory teams to ensure optimal flow and accurate stock levels.

  • Participate in daily operational meetings with the Production, Planning, Quality and Packaging teams.

  • Manage label printing (GS1, SSCC), process translation requests and ensure document compliance (e.g. SFDA authorizations) Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and propose concrete actions.

  • Contribute to or lead small-scale continuous improvement projects.

  • Support colleagues in developing their skills through mentoring and on-the-job training.

  • Apply and enforce the site's QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) rules in all daily operations.

You bring

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in logistics, ideally in the agri-food, chemical or consumer goods sectors.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve problems effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

  • Knowledge of SAP (IM/WM modules) essential.
