We are hiring for a Lead Applications Technician who will grow our West Coast business by supporting Flavorists and Application Technologists with flavor screening & selection, sample shipments, and pilot plant runs. You will collaborate closely with Application, Creation, and Sales teams to drive project work and overall business success.

Your key responsibilities
• Supports food technologists in product development activities (flavor screening, formula iterations, setting up tastings, gathering tasting data, etc.) primarily in the sweet goods category.
• Lead simple projects and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Operates various laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
• Packs and ships outgoing samples to meet due dates.
• Supports pilot plant runs & specification development.
• Operates various laboratory and pilot plant equipment.

You bring
• BS, preferably in Food Science or Chemistry.
• Minimum 5 years of lab experience, ideally with a food or flavor company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Desire to bring continuous improvement
