We are hiring a  Quality Assurance Specialist at our Kingstree, SC Nutritional Products facility for DAY SHIFT (8:00AM to 4:30PM).


Our Quality Assurance team is ready to welcome you!  Are you ready to work for the Global leader in providing DHA omega-3 and ARA omega-6 fatty acids for use in infant formula using microalgal fermentationKingstree manufacturing is focused around large-scale fermentation process, recovery and refining processes, packaging and customer supply.  Our fully integrated and automated production processes provide highest level of food/Infant grade quality: food grade GMP. 


As a Quality Assurance Specialist  you have a business critical role.  You will perform QA activities in accordance with SHE requirements, SOPs and Quality standards.  You will review batch records to determine acceptability of batch release, problem-solve, and make decisions.

You’ll have the opportunity to…

  • Administer and maintain all aspects of the release function for intermediates, final and packaged products as well as contract manufactured material.
  • Review controlled documents related to the release function, to identify gaps, prepare new documents or modify existing ones as needed. 
  • Review documentation, analytical data, product specifications and process changes/deviations before releasing product to ensure adherence to defined specifications.  Initiate and resolve any concerns notes.  Issue final product Certificates of Analysis and update product statuses.
  • Prepare, obtain approvals and revise controlled specifications at the plant level based on corporate direction for product contact packaging, raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Assist with maintaining deviations in the TrackWise system.

What we like to see in your experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science preferred
  • Knowledge of FDA food good manufacturing practices (GMP) 21 CFU 117
  • Ability to understand a complex biological and chemical manufacturing process
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Every Angle, SAP and TrackWise experience preferred
  • 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • 2-3 years’ experience with GMP environment and requirements
  • All key areas of accountability listed
